How many restrooms does a wedding need?
A 150-guest, 5-hour wedding with a bar needs one two-station restroom trailer plus one flushable unit, or 5 flushable units without a trailer. The math: 150 ÷ 50 = 3 units for 4 hours, add 1 for the fifth hour and 1 for the bar (1 per 100 guests, rounded down), one of the 5 accessible. Mostly-women guest lists add one more unit because sit-down use takes longer.
| Guests | Flushable units only | With a trailer | Price before tax (trailer option) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50–75 | 3 flushable | 1 two-station trailer | $2000 |
| 76–150 | 5 flushable | 1 trailer + 1 flushable | $2475 |
| 151–250 | 8 flushable + 1 accessible | 2 trailers | $3850 |
| 251–350 | 12 flushable + 1 accessible | 2 trailers + 2 flushable | $4800 |
Method: PSAI event sizing (1 unit per 50 guests per 4 hours) with whole-unit steps for time and alcohol. Run your own numbers on the calculator. One accessible unit is required in each cluster at venues open to the public and is a kindness at any wedding with older guests.

Trailer or flushable units for a barn wedding?
Choose the trailer when the venue has a hose bib and a 20-amp outlet within 100 feet of a level spot, the reception runs after dark, or the date is between November and April. Choose flushable units when the site is a field with no utilities, the guest count is under 100, or the restroom budget is under $1,500. Many Butler barn weddings use one trailer plus one flushable unit at the bar.
- Trailer needs: 30 × 12 ft level firm ground, truck access, water and one 20-amp circuit per side (or our generator, $175).
- Flushable units need: a flat 4 × 4 ft spot each, nothing else. Add $25 solar lights for evening.
- Timeline: trailers booked 4–6 weeks out for June, September and October Saturdays; flushable units 2–4 weeks.
- Placement: 50–75 feet from the tent, downwind, with a lit path; never between parking and the ceremony.

What is the booking timeline for a wedding restroom rental?
Book the restroom trailer as soon as the venue is signed; 4 to 6 weeks before the wedding is the minimum for June, September and October Saturdays, and 10 days is the latest we can hold any trailer. A 25% deposit reserves the units, the balance is due 10 days before, and the deposit is refundable until that 10-day mark.
- Venue signed: call with date, guest count, and whether the site has water and power. We confirm units, price and timing in writing.
- 25% deposit. Units are off the calendar for anyone else.
- Two weeks out: site walk by phone or text photos. We settle the exact spot, path lighting and the hose and outlet locations.
- 10 days out: balance due. Final headcount adjustments; units can still be added.
- Thursday or Friday: delivery and setup. Water, flush and lights tested; placement photo texted to you or the planner.
- Monday: pickup. Nothing for the couple or family to do.
Venues we deliver to regularly include farm and barn venues around Saxonburg, Prospect, Portersville, Harmony and Zelienople, pavilions at Alameda Park and Moraine State Park, and backyards from Meridian to Cranberry Township. DCNR state-park weddings need an Activity Permit 15 days ahead.
Questions customers ask about this rental
What is the nicest option for a backyard wedding of 80 guests?
One two-station restroom trailer, set on the driveway or a level lawn with the hose and a 20-amp outlet from the garage. It is $2000 before tax for the weekend. If the budget is tighter, two flushable units with solar lights are $1000.
Can you deliver on Saturday morning of the wedding?
We set wedding units Friday and trailers Thursday or Friday so setup never competes with your morning. Saturday delivery is possible but we do not recommend it for a wedding.
Do the trailers have air conditioning and heat?
Yes, both, on a roof unit. That is why cold-weather weddings around Butler use trailers; flushable units cannot be used below freezing.
How far from the tent should the restrooms go?
Fifty to seventy-five feet: close enough that guests do not need a flashlight, far enough that the trailer's door noise and the generator (if any) stay out of the toasts. Put the units downwind of the dinner tables.
What if my venue does not allow units left over the weekend?
Tell us at booking. We can deliver Saturday morning and pick up Monday first thing, or for parks with a strict window, deliver and pick up the same day on a weekday for the weekday rate.
Do you supply toilet paper, soap and air freshener for the whole night?
Yes. Trailers and flushable units are stocked for about 300 uses. For receptions over 200 guests we recommend an attendant who restocks and wipes down every half hour.
Can I decorate the units?
Yes. Florals, signage, lanterns and a basket of amenities are all fine; we will place them for you at setup if they are on site. No adhesives on the trailer walls, please.
