Graduation Party Restroom Checklist for Butler, PA Backyards

Gray porta potties along a backyard fence

June is the busiest porta potty month in Butler County, and graduation parties are most of it. Butler, Knoch, Seneca Valley, Mars Area, Slippery Rock and Moniteau all graduate within two weeks of each other, and every family with a backyard and 60 cousins calls the same week. Here is what we tell them.

1. Count guests, then decide one unit or two

One standard or deluxe unit handles 50 guests over a 4-hour party. From 51 to 100, two units. If the house bathroom is open and the crowd is mostly family, you can run 75 on one unit, but the line forms right after the cake. Our calculator does the math.

2. Pick the sink question early

Graduation parties have food. The deluxe unit has a sink inside ($395); a standard unit with a separate handwashing station is $425. For one unit the deluxe is simpler. For two or more, one shared station by the food is cheaper.

3. Measure the gate

A standard unit is 43.5 inches wide and needs a straight 48-inch path. Most Butler Township and Cranberry side gates are 36 inches. If yours is, the unit goes at the side of the house or the driveway edge, which is usually the better spot anyway: level, close to the truck, and away from the food.

4. Book for Friday, not Saturday

Saturday parties get Friday delivery and Monday pickup at the same price. The unit is there before anyone arrives and gone after everyone leaves. If the party is Sunday, Friday delivery still applies; we do not run Sunday pickups.

5. Call three weeks ahead for June Saturdays

Event units sell out for the first three Saturdays of June. Two to three weeks ahead gets you the unit you want; the week of, you get what is left.

6. Tell us where the truck can park

Our driver needs to get within 25 feet of the spot. On a cul-de-sac with cars already arriving, that can be the hard part. Friday delivery solves it; so does a note about which side of the driveway to use.

Prices, packages and park rules are on the event rental page.
